Took steps to address an issue with combat effects that caused some players to experience excessive red flashing. Testing will continue, and further amendments may be made in subsequent builds.
I still experience this. Its a bit annoying. Thankfully, I don't get seizures.

Tell that to the guys who found out how duping worked. They were banned for a few hours, purely because they had technically used an exploit.

No... because the algorithm used to capture exploiters swept over them before they were tagged for exclusion, from which they were later exempted. Let's not drag this topic to places it shouldn't be.

This was a major issue in pre with people that want to keep a char there permanently or are going for the LDOA title. You need to partner with someone when opening the gate for the Northlands to set up death levels for Charrs. People were making level 1 chars and offering to join up to open the gate but were actually standing by Sir Tydus and trying to launch you into Post-searing. It was very upsetting and was quite disruptive to the community. There were a number of safeguards you could take but a number of people were dragged against their will by people that thought it was fun to do. As it takes months to get a character to that high a level in pre-searing it was devastating to the point that some people wouldn't even go into Ascalon anymore or only partnering with people they knew to open the gate. I am glad they fixed it as things should return to normal in pre-searing again.
There are a lot of little things that have been done by Anet for the pre-searing bunch like Charr Bags (bag of holding), Charr Salvage Kits (acually mini-expert salvage kits), etc. Pre is a weird little world unto itself now...

Since the update I've been encountering code 005 errors when loading into Guild Wars with every character except one.
Posted a thread in the support form here but thought i'd drop a line to see if anyone else was encountering this problem with the new build.

Well - first run since the update was 4 pick retains and one break, all 5 chests gold, 2 nice req 9 swords (Bronze Edge and Flamberge), a +30 HP shield mod of a Goldleaf Defender, and a 20% Forget Me Not salvaged off a water artifact. Even the req 12 Butterfly Knives were of use as I salvaged the +5 armour off to put in my Brass Knuckles. No breaks on salvage either.

I hope that's the same bug that causes me to crash at 2 exact same points in the Destruction's Depths quest
Having to restart my PC so I can re-join the game TWICE isn't fun.

My mind = blown.
It is absolutely incredible that there are people so pathetic to do such things. Good it's fixed.

Tried it in PvP yet? Not that I care anyway, PvP sucks imo, I just want to see people whine about it!
